AN EVOLVING EXHIBITION

A classic silhouette.
A city in constant motion.

Italian automotive design meets the light, shadow and architecture of Los Angeles.

At the centre is Gordon Fraser’s 1973 Lancia 2000 HF Coupé.

Photographed by Walter Fulbright, the collection explores the relationship between the car and the city around it.

Four new images revealed each month.

Under Wraps

NO. 01 - LOS ANGELES

A familiar silhouette, partially concealed. Light catches the wrapping, tracing the Lancia’s form against the darkness.

THROUGH THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S EYE

"The Lancia was the focal point. We combined
elements of light and shadow to shape the car, create contrast, and add depth to the images. We placed it within the rhythm of the city, allowing the location, model, and changing light to naturally shape the story."

1973 Lancia 2000 HF Coupé

Designed by Pininfarina and produced in limited numbers, the Lancia 2000 HF represented the final evolution of Lancia’s celebrated Flavia-derived coupé.

Its elegant Pininfarina body concealed an unusually sophisticated specification for its era: a two-litre flat-four engine with Bosch electronic fuel injection, five-speed transmission and the engineering character for which pre-Fiat Lancias became renowned.

This example spent much of its life in Italy before being brought from Lecce to Los Angeles in 2025. Its Italian heritage, rarity and architectural form became the starting point for this photographic study.

THROUGH THE PHOTOGRAPHER'S EYE

"The changing conditions helped the images feel spontaneous and cinematic while keeping the car at the center of the narrative.

We looked for moments that felt intentional rather than staged, allowing the car and its surroundings to interact naturally and create a sense of movement and lifestyle."

BEHIND THE WHEEL

GORDON FRASER

Owner & Creative Collaborator

Gordon Fraser is a Scottish-born entrepreneur and creative based in Los Angeles, with a longstanding interest in design, architecture and classic automobiles.

His 1973 Lancia 2000 HF Coupé was acquired in Italy and brought to Los Angeles in 2025, becoming the inspiration for The Lancia Gallery.

Working with photographer Walter Fulbright, Fraser conceived the project as something beyond traditional automotive photography: an evolving collection exploring the relationship between Italian design and Los Angeles through architecture, light and shadow — placing one of Pininfarina’s most distinctive forms within an entirely new visual landscape.
